about Me
I'm RENÉE
Hi there! I'm Renée Kackley, a professional photographer based in Plymouth, Massachusetts, serving Greater Boston, the South Shore, and Cape Cod.
My journey into photography started long before I made it my career. As a kid, I'd take photos of my friends and family with my hot pink Barbie camera and fill countless photo albums and scrapbooks. Now, as a mom of two, I have an ever greater appreciation for the medium. Seeing how quickly my own kids are growing made me realize that these moments are fleeting and precious. That's what inspired me to turn my lifelong passion into a career.
Prior to launching my photography business, I worked in communications and project management in Boston at Old North Church & Historic Site, the Boston Public Library, and City Hall, and later at a govtech start-up. I used to get to take photos of Old North's famous steeple of "one if by land, two if by sea" fame, championship parades in Boston, and the BPL's beautiful architecture.

places i've been
Cape Town, South Africa was one of my favorite trips. These days though, I'm mostly doing day trips to Cape Cod with the kiddos!

RITUALS
I love to start the day with a hot cup of tea, whatever the season is. London Fog is my go-to.

pastTime
I love gardening and planting native plants. The kids' reactions to seeing butterflies and hummingbirds visit is the best.

Favorite camera
These were all taken with my very first camera, a pink Barbie camera! I loved when I got to pick up the photos at CVS.

My husband and kids are my most frequent subjects. Our cats are a close second!

The moments where I capture laughter. There's nothing like the smiles that come from genuine laughter and feeling comfortable.
